Oh my god there is so much here I want to talk to you about. You covered so much with such grace. Somehow grace and also that "oof" stomach punch of truth. I had an older brother but I find I relate more to people with younger siblings. He had anger problems and behavior problems that clashed with my dad and pushed everyone's buttons. All I wanted to do was be invisible and you described all of that perfectly. There was a lot more that got me but a big one was how your whole body clenches when your daughter screams or. your husband slams a cabinet door. I HATE that. I am trying so hard to breathe and not let every little thing send me into fight or flight but...it is so so hard. I am so happy you are continuing to share your stories.

This is astoundingly beautiful. I am utterly amazed when I come across a writer who shows rawness and honesty like this - it flaws the reader. It makes us think about it long after we’ve stopped reading. I hope you continue to take up space with your writing here. You have so much of value to say.
